Their technical expertise combined with collaborative and interpersonal skills means they have the versatility employers want. Bachelor of Science 安全与风险分析 (SRA) responds to the expanding need for a highly trained analytic workforce to address a wide range of security and 风险 domains including national/homeland security, 紧急情况和灾害管理, 法律与犯罪, 以及企业风险管理. The SRA program positions our students to be future leaders to address the current and emerging security and 风险 challenges that face individuals, 组织和我们的国家.

The SRA program prepares students with core competence in four knowledge areas:

  • understanding the fundamentals of security, 风险, analytic 方法 and decision support for the purpose of recognizing, 阐明, 解决分析需求
  • understanding the roles of data and analytics in various security domains and organizational contexts
  • 应用数据分析, 方法, and tools (structured analytics; data gathering and manipulation; visual analytics; analytic judgements and presentation) to derive and communicate insights and actionable knowledge

All SRA students are required to complete an internship in a field related to their major. Internships can be part-time or full-time and paid or unpaid. Internships enable students to apply what was learned in the classroom to a dynamic, 实际技术情况. 获得实习学分, students complete the 1-credit IST 495 course and must complete at least 300 hours of supervised employment.
